Children needing sponsors

This is just a small selection of the children who do not yet have sponsors - we have details of many more! You can either select a child here by clicking 'Sponsor Me' or by phoning our office if you prefer. Although we are happy to accept gifts of any size, we currently recommend Ł20 per month as being sufficient to cover the costs of housing, food and education for one child.

Abinaya Girl aged 9 born February 22nd 2000. This girl's father has died. Her mother is working for daily wages earning a very small income and she is not taking care of the family. Abinaya was desperately in need of education and care. Her mother brought her daughter to the children's home in May 30th 2009 along with her two younger sisters, Kaviya and Kavitha.

Amsavalli T Amsavalli is eleven years old her birthday is 3rd March 2001. Her mother died a few years ago and her father is an alchoholic so an aunt brought her to our children's home.

Arun A Boy, aged 13. Arun's mother is a housewife and his father is a daily wage labourer. He was brought to our home due to poverty.

Arunkumar.R Arunkumar is 10 years old, his birthday is the 4th of April. This boy's father left the family home. His mother is a daily labourer she can't meet the needs of her children so Arunkumar was admitted to our home.

Balamugurgan G Balamurgugan is 11 years old, he was born on the 16th of December 1998. His father has left the family home and his mother struggles to cope as a daily wage labourer so she admitted her son to our home.

Chandru Boy aged 8 born on 21st January 2001. This boy's mother is is too ill to work. His father has remarried and Chandru is in desperate need of care and education. He was admitted to our children's home in June 2009. There are also two younger girls in the family.

Ganesamoorthy T Boy, aged 13. Ganesamoorthy's mother and father left him. He joined the home as his grandmother was unable to look after and educate him.

Gayathri.G Gayathri was born on 16th of August 2000. Her father died a few years ago and her mother was unable to care for her as she earned a very low wage as a housemaid. So Gayathri was admitted to the children's home at the age of 5.

Gowsalya. R Girl aged 10, born July 9th 1999. Gowsalya's parents died five years ago. Her grandmother took care of her and her younger sister Suvitha until June 2009 when she brought the girl's to the children's home.

Jothi. M Jothi was born on 16th June 2007. Her father left home and her mother earns a very low daily wage and cannot meet the needs of her daughter. Jothi was admitted to the children's home in 2009.

Kanaga Valli A Girl, age 12, born 12 July 1996. Father left the family, mother is a daily wage labourer.

Karthick Kumar C Boy, age 13, born 9 June 1995. His father left the family because of large debts. His mother is a housemaid, but has indufficient income to care for Karthick Kumar and his two sisters (all of whom are in the Love & Care Children's Home).

Karuna S Girl, aged 12. Karuna was brought to the home by her mother after her father left and she re-married.

Kavitha Girl aged 8 born 15th March. This girl's father has died and her mother earns a very small daily wage and is not able to look after the family. Kavitha was admitted to our children's home in May 2009 with her younger sister Kaviya and older sister Abinaya.

Kavitha M Girl, age 7, born 12 June 2001. Her father has a mental illness, her mother is a daily wage labourer and has insufficient income to care for her and her sister.

Kaviya. N Girl aged 6 years born April 13th 2003. this girl's father has died and her mother earns a very low wage and is not able to look after the family. Kaviya was admitted to our children's home in May 2009 with her two older sisters Abinaya and Kavitha.

Lakshmanan P Lakshmanan is nine years old, born on the 2nd June 2003. His father died a few years ago and his mother was not able to support him as she has six other children So Lakshmanan was admitted to the children's home when he was three years old.

Mahima H Girl, aged 11. Mahima's mother died during childbirth and her father was unable to look after her.

Malaiarasi P Girl, age 10, born 6 December 1998. Her father died in 1999, her mother is handicapped and there is no support for the family.

Manikandan. C Boy aged 13. Born on the 17th August 1997. his father left the family nine years ago.His mother is on a very low income which is not sufficient to meet the basic needs of the family and his education and care. He was admitted in to our children's Home in June 2009 with his younger brother named Karthik.

Manish G Boy, aged 12. Manish was brought to the home by his father after his mother died and he re-married.

Meenakshi Girl aged 6 born March 1st 2003. Meenakshi's parents have both died and there is no-one to take care of her. She was admitted to our children's home by her uncle in June 2009. She has one older brother who was admitted to our at the same time.

Muniasamy M Boy, age 7, born 22 April 2001. His father died in the Tsunami in 2004, his mother is a daily wage labourer and has insufficient income to keep Muniasamy and his 2 older sisters.

Muthu S Boy, age 13, born 21 August 1995. His father died in 2004. His mother is working in the Chiildren's Home on a very low wage. He was desperately in need of care and education so was admitted to the Home in January 2005. Muthu has an elder sister, Mary, who is also in the Home.

Neetu D Girl, aged 12. Neetu was brought to the home by a relative in 2000 after her mother's death.

Saravana Praveen P Boy, age 10, born 11 June 1998. His father has died, his mother is working in a Love & Care children's home. He came into the home in 2007 due to poverty.

Sivakumar A Boy, age 10 born 20 May 1998. His father died, his mother is a flower seller but has insufficient income to care for the family (he has an older sister and brother).

Subhash R Boy, age 9, born 13 July 1999. His father has died, his mother works as a housemaid and has insufficient income to meet the family's basic needs. He came into the Home in 2007 with his sister.

Suvitha. R Girl aged 6, born June 13th 2003. Suvitha's parents died five years ago. Her grandmother was taking care of the children but in June 2009 she brought Suvitha and her elder sister Gowsalya to our children's home for the the care and education that she could not afford top give them.

Uthayakumar Boy aged 11 born March 19th 1998. This boy's father is in jail. His mother is a weaver earning a very low income. It is not sufficient to meet the basic needs of the family so Uthayakumar was admitted to our children's home in June 2009 along with his younger brother whose name is Mani.

Veerapathiran.L Boy aged 8 born on 22nd March 2001. His father and mother have both died and no one could take care of this child. His uncle brought him in to our children's home in March 2009, along with his younger sister called Meenaskshi.

Vijayalakshmi C Vijayalakshmi C is 12, born 24 May 1994, came to us with her brother, Vijayakumar, when she was ten. Her father left for another relationship and they were being cared by by their grandmother.

Yuvaraj B Boy, aged 8. After Yuvaraj B's mother died, his father, as a daily wage labourer, was unable to support him so Yuvaraj B joined the home.
