Pandiselvi was rescued age 12 from extreme poverty 10 years ago. Had she been left, she might now be slaving (or worse) to feed her own 4 or 5 children. Today she is a star Bible College graduate with a bright future. |
How do I sponsor a child? [What we mean by sponsorship]
Sponsoring a child is one of the most rewarding things we can do. "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: that you look after orphans and widows" (James 1:27). A small, regular investment will change a life.
Why sponsorship? Choose a child now!
? Caring for children is a long-term responsibility. Each day we need to give our children three square meals, pay for their carers, clothes and school fees. Your regular, committed giving is a literal God-send for the children.
? Sponsorship allows you to build a relationship with your child, through prayer (they will pray for you too!), sending small gifts and correspondence. And every sponsor who visits their child will tell you it is a life-changing experience.
How much? We don't fix the amount you give... it is your gift!
However, it costs us an average of 66p a day for each child - to house, feed, clothe, educate, and give medical care. If you can't afford 66p, we welcome whatever you can give. Most people give £20 a month, £60 a quarter, or £240 annually. Some give more, some less, but any gift helps the children. We invite you to sponsor as many as you can.
If you are a UK taxpayer and will pay as much Income or Capital Gains tax in the current year as we will reclaim on your gift, then completing a Gift Aid Declaration will make your gift go even further. Click here to print out our Gift Aid Form
