A day in the life of our children
5am Get up (Under 5’s get up at 6am).
6–7am Tidy and clean rooms.
7–8am Wash and get ready for school.
7.45am Secondary children bus to school five days
a week, + every 2nd Saturday. Primary
12.30–1.30pm Cooked lunch.
5–6pm Children without homework can play.
6--6.30pm Clean up and wash.
6.30–7pm Bible College students lead prayers.
8 pm Dinner starting with the younger children.
Some children study until 10pm.
During a sponsors’ team’s recent visit, two new children came to live in the home at Madurai.
Their father had died, and their mother works at a hotel in a village nearby, but she had nowhere to live with her children (she now lives where she works.)
When the children arrived they were forlorn, but after just two days they were so happy to be attending school, safe and cared for.
